CancerBro, What are the esophageal cancer symptoms that should be kept in mind for suspicion of cancer?
That is a very good question. A knowledge about the symptoms is required to consult a doctor at earliest before the disease becomes very advanced.
Most common symptoms of esophageal cancer include progressive dysphagia, first to the solids than to liquids, and weight loss. Also, it may cause painful swallowing or retrosternal discomfort or pain. Rarely, there may be a cough, chest infection, bleeding, from the esophagus or bone pain.
Anyone or combination of these symptoms, when present in a person, should raise the suspicion of the disease.
