Stage 4 Metastatic Cervical Cancer
Hi friends @cancerfreecree is back and no longer cancer free :( I was recently diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic cervical cancer that apparently hung around from my last diagnosis of stage 2 localized cervical cancer. It had already spread into my lymph nodes but the chemo, externals radiation and internal radiation showed that it did itโ€™s job on my PET scan November 2017. But here we are. I was having some mild symptoms to start, chest pain off and on, a dry cough off and on, what felt like a stomach ulcer and then I found a very hard and swollen node at my clavicle. A request for a CT at the ER showed masses around my esophagus, trachea and the node I found. A further PET scan showed that itโ€™s now infiltrating my right lung and a biopsy confirmed that the cervical cancer is back with a vengeance. I am only 31 with two small children, my heart is broken. I start treatment tomorrow most likely, Carbo/Taxol/Avastin. I would love some tips for handling this regime if anyone has some! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ Love and light to everyone! ๐Ÿ’—โœจ
