Diagnosed with stage 4 nsclc squamous. Facing some issues after treatment.
Hi. I was diagnosed with stage 4 nsclc squamous in March 2013. In may 2013 I had a wedge resection to remove 1 tumour. The one I had on on my pulmonary artery was unable to be surgically removed. Before I started chemo a new tumour grew in my breast. I had 4 rounds of chemo, gemcarbo, from July to October 2013. This sharan the pulmonary artery tumour and the breast tumour totally vanished. I had 20 days of radiotherapy which shrank the remaining tumour some more. I remained stable without treatment until February 2014. A new tumour appeared in my abdomen. I immediately had 10 days of radiotherapy which obliterated this tumour. I remained stable then until December 2016 when cancer was found in my lung lining. In January 2017 I began immunotherapy, keytruda. This has shrunk the tumours. I’ve 2 more treatments left on this then I will go on watch and wait. I feel really well but have been left with some issues from all the treatment. I generally manage to do most of the things I used to do albeit a lot more slowly and I do tire easily.
