Breast Cancer Survivor Stage 0 Early detection is important
Helllo there my new community of Breast Cancer.. I was diagnosed back in April of 2019 with stage zero cancer in my right breast and this was after having my first ever mammogram done in October. I was called and told that I needed to go back in to have another exam done so in February I started going to Wake Med in Raleigh, NC. The staff was very helpful and this was my journey, they did a series of mammogram images and then a biopsy. The result came back and when I got the news, it was so surreal at first that I just asked, “So what do we do next”. That’s when I started my next phase and that also took for me to relocate to Olympia Washington where I met with another team and Ive had a double mastectomy done.. this was my choice and I am going thru the healing phase now. Surgery was a success now I must wait 4 weeks to have the silicone implants to be put in in order to stretch the skin.. I’m taking this one day at a time
