3 months shy of being a 19 year Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma survivor
Good morning! I am thrilled to be a part of this community. My name is Michele Cerami and I am an 18 year (3 months shy of being a 19 year Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma survivor). I was diagnosed in November of 2000 at just 29 years old with Stage 1, Large B Diffuse Cell. I had four rounds of CHOP chemotherapy followed by a month off, and then 4 weeks of radiation. In addition to this. I had my son in July of 2000 and had to care for him too. It was difficult at times, and grateful for the family support that I had. Fast forward 18 years and I am here for a reason. Last July 2018 I generated my online business as a Cancer Advocate specializing in cancer care and I am going to Advocate and support patients. I am a humanitarian by nature and love helping others. Cancer may have taken a few things away from me, to include, losing my right ovary and early menopause, but it does not define me as a person. We are all warriors and survivors. I am just beginning my journey with helping others and looking forward to being of service.
